Laboratory specimen

Up way too late as usual, but not because of homework. Experimenting with sanding and different surfaces. The scanner didn't do the colours justice, the original is more vibrant. I want to play around with textures and find a new recipe for my finals. I feel like I'm in a rut and I need to branch out from my comfort zone. I'm going to tell myself I'm going to experiment more, but we'll see how it goes. 

Juicy Brains

This was my submission for the Orangina contest. I'm not very happy with my concept... more like lack of a concept. I wish I had of known about it earlier because I would have submitted more work.

I finally finished the first panel of the commission I'm working on. They weren't completely happy with the colour of the girl's shoes, so I toned them down. I think it's more balanced now, good suggestion. 2 more panels to go and I'm done. 

Assignment #1

This was our first assignment for core class this year. The assignment was to take three classified ads and make a narrative. My ads were "Nice Girl with Herpes", "Seeking One Submissive Female" and "Congratulations, Happy 65th Wedding Anniversary".

20 minute poses, acrylic.

Still working on my commissions from the summer. I'm pretty happy with it so far, it's just taking forever especially now that school is in full swing. Looking forward to completely them.
